Leadership Program

​

Throughout the Centre we provide the children who are the oldest children within a room greater leadership opportunities. This is particularly emphasised in the Preschool room and is of great benefit to the children who are having ‘another year’ before commencing school.

 

These children are encouraged to take on more responsibility in regards to contributing to the room and its routines and Programs.

 

They are considered to be ‘the teacher’s helper’ and are made aware of the importance of their role.

 

They are also given the opportunity to mentor the younger children in their room.

 

The program ensures children become confident and self directing individuals who are able to make good choices and take risks in order to become an effective individual as well as a group member.
